Cutwel launches new V7 Plus range
Cutwel, the UK & Ireland leading independent tool supplier has launched the V7 Plus from YG‐1, an impressive new range of micrograin carbide milling cutters which are 2nd generation to the popular V7 mills.
The new range is ideal for high performance machining of steel, stainless steel, cast iron and other low hardness materials under HRc40.
Increased productivity is major highlight from the new range with feed rates increased by up to 10‐15 percent and reduced tool wear by up to 50 percent. The improved edge preparation also helps boost tool life.
One of the main benefits of the original V7 mill range is its variable helix which eliminates vibration and the geometry has now evolved with the V7 plus to feature a multiple helix design too. This improves swarf control and maximises chip evacuation, also improving stability during heavy cutting and enhanced finishing operations.
YG‐1 has used an improved grade of carbide with an engineered coating which enhances the performance on materials that produce exceptional heat such as stainless steel and exotics.
The V7 plus range comes with 4 flutes in either standard or corner radius types. These are now available and in stock at Cutwel for next day delivery.
