Bristol signmaker gets over Olympic finish line first with ITC

As the world watched the Rio Olympics, Bristol Signmaker Wilson Signs had already won its prize, the contract to produce the iconic Olympic rings for the BBC Television Studio.

ITC ES News August Pic 1As the UK’s official broadcaster of the 2016 Olympics, the BBC followed the Olympic action from start to finish, and the work of Wilson Signs was on show as it manufactured the centrepiece for the studio, using cutting tools from Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC).

Manufactured from 25 mm thick acrylic, the geometrically challenging Olympic rings have been precisely cut with ITC’s 163 Series of 2-flute solid carbide routing tools. The Extra-Long 163 Series of centre-cutting straight shank routing tools incorporate a 30 degree helix for impeccable surface and edge finishes.

If you watched the Olympics, you will have seen just how ITC’s cutting tools can deliver a ‘gold medal’ performance for your business.
