Promising inspiration through innovation

SECO Tools ES News LogoSeco Tools (UK) announces dates for its 2015 ‘Inspiration through Innovation’ advanced manufacturing best-practice event

Following the unrivalled success of last September’s ‘Inspiration through Innovation’ advanced manufacturing best-practice event, Seco Tools UK, a leading supplier of complete machining solutions to the metalcutting industry has, in the intervening period, been hard at work to ensure that its 2015 event will be even bigger and better than last year’s. All indications suggest that it has done just that.

The event will take place at Seco’s Technology Centre in Alcester, on the 23rd and 24th of September, with over 30 of the company’s Technical Partners involved. These partners, which include leading machine tool builders and best-in-class CAD/CAM, workholding, tooling, automation, cutting fluid, and metrology and inspection solution specialists, will be showcasing and demonstrating their latest products and technologies to visitors.

In addition to its Technical Partners’ exhibitions, the event is also being used by Seco as an opportunity to promote and in some instances launch, via specially-designed machining demonstrations, its latest ranges of advanced turning, milling and drilling cutting tool solutions.

The company’s new, next-generation Duratomic insert technology, launched in April 2015, has taken the market by storm and will have pride of place at the event.

Building on the success of last year’s show, the event also includes a series of eight best-practice seminars, covering a range of contemporary manufacturing topics and issues. These include the most effective and cost-efficient methods of machining titanium, nickel-based alloys and stainless steels, plus specific seminars on component manufacturing for the automotive sector and advanced roughing strategies.

Branded ‘Inspiration through Innovation’, the event is very much focused on the future and is aimed at precision component manufacturers looking to get out more from their manufacturing processes, systems and people. The emphasis throughout reflects Seco’s business approach and ethos that, with collaborative approaches to problem-solving and sharing best practice with customers, delivers inspirational and innovative solutions.

The event is free to visitors, and doors open on both days at 9.30am, closing at 7.30pm on the 23rd September and 5.00pm on the 24th September.

Richard Jelfs, Seco’s managing director, says: “The ‘Inspiration through Innovation’ event taking place at our Technology Centre on the 23rd and 24th September is the only place where you will see the latest Seco cutting tools, services and solutions on show in addition to well over 30 leading machine tool builders and best-in-class CAD/CAM, workholding, cutting fluid, automation, and inspection and measurement specialist providers showcasing their advanced technologies.”

“If you’re looking for innovation, inspiration, or both, we’ll no doubt see you at the show.”
